How to Pass CLEP Chemistry In One Week
Procrastination is the enemy of everyone, and we often realize that we don't have enough time when it's already too late. This became my story when I planned to take the CLEP Chemistry exam. It was almost August, and college was about to start when I challenged myself to take the exam. The first thing I did was start studying the book "CLEP Chemistry by Kevin Reel" ((Book Link ) from chapter one, which had the highest percentage of coverage. I focused on studying the topics with the most weightage. After thoroughly understanding the concepts and ensuring my comprehension, I attempted a test based on a question bank I found on Reddit. Though it comprised 80 questions and didn't follow the exact format, it contained essential questions. I struggled with understanding questions related to bonds and hybridization. Realizing my weakness, I sought help from resources like the YouTube channel "The Organic Chemistry Tutor," which proved invaluable in clarifying concepts. After grasping those difficult topics, I revisited the chapters once more. Experimental chemistry, in particular, featured numerous numerical examples and experimental concepts that I could solve easily, boosting my confidence. I attempted the test again, this time using a question bank from the book. Since I hadn't managed my time properly in the previous attempt, I adopted a strategy of making educated guesses when unsure and marking questions for review. I scored 58 on this test, indicating improvement, though I still made 16 mistakes. I meticulously analyzed each error to understand where I went wrong and revisited each question. The next day, I took another test and scored slightly better, reaching 64. I continued with the same approach—identifying mistakes, revising, and learning. On the eve of the exam, I reviewed each concept one last time before going in to take the test. I performed at my best and scored 65 out of 75. I did it, and so can you. Pro Tip: Utilize resources like Modern States to learn concepts and obtain free vouchers for CLEP. Avoid paying $90 to College Board. (Modern States Link ) Write down each mistake and confusing concept on paper, revising them each time to avoid repeating the same errors. Comment "CLEP" below, and I will grant access to the full question bank resource.
